Snowfamily

This is a snow family I made for my sister for Christmas. It is a set of metal measuring spoons that I pained white. Added some scrap fabric for scarfs and a sign for the family name. And some ribbon to keep them together. Add some hot glue and you have a nice homemade gift for the family that has everything.

Peanut butter chocolate trifle

This recipe I took from Facebook. It was super good and easy to make. The recipe is broken into two pictures since I had to use screen shots to get the whole thing.

Cheesecake strawberries

These are a other yummy treat. My only warning is that you watch the pasty bag you use to fill the strawberries, the mixture is very thick and I managed to bust 2 bags trying to fill the berries.

Banana fosters

Yum!!
This is a quick dessert that I made my hubby one night as a treat. The recipe is super easy and most of the time I have everything in the house.

4 lg bananas sliced
1/4 c butter
2/3 c brown sugar
3.5 tablespoon rum (your cant taste the rum but I'd you don't want to use it you can substitute orange juice)
2.5 teaspoon vanilla
.5 teaspoon cinnamon

Melt the butter. add brown sugar, vanilla, rum. When mixture starts to bubble add bananas. Heat until bananas and warm all the way through. Serve hot over vanilla ice cream.
Great way to end a romantic dinner, or surprise friends with your cooking skills.

Getting a little crafty

So for Christmas my wonderful husband got me an embroidery sewing machine. I love it. Still learning how to use it but I love it. These are two if my recent projects.

The dragon for my sister's birthday. He is her school mascot, she is a school teacher.

The purple is vital statistics for a girl at work who had a beautiful baby girl.

The last picture is a gag that I put on my sister-in-laws wood carrier, that I made her for Christmas.
